Hans J. Wegner
A pioneer of Danish modernism, furniture designer Hans J Wegner (1914-2007) was best known for his mid-century seating pieces. As a trained carpenter, he loved woodwork and used only the finest joinery methods to create his legendary, elegant designs, which include the throne-like Peacock chair, the distinctive Y-shaped Wishbone chair and the striking wingback Papa Bear chair, as well as elegant sofas and tables.
