Description
Remarkable Biedermeier Nutwood commode/ trumeau or sideboard artfully handcrafted in Austria, circa 1845. The great compact shaped body shows a fantasic walnut veneer with an outstanding grain, radiantly hand-polished with honey-shellac. Supported by unimposing, short legs, its clean and straight design contains a large drawer and a two-door front which impresses with its so-called "Pretzel" design. Both are lockable with the still original locks from 1845 and adorned by wonderful brass key blad...
