Unique piece
High fired terracotta tiles and copper plaques woven together with copper wire, gently swollen and formed as a stylised expression of an orchid, and recalling the tradition of Han dynasty armour. Suspended from a slender metal rod, enabling it to be viewed in the round.
The fine grained terracotta tiles, in colour and with smooth surface texture, appears almost indistinguishable from leather.
