Earle D. Vandekar of Knightsbridge is run by Paul Vandekar and his wife Deidre Healy in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, having owned major galleries in London, Los Angles and New York. Paul sees his role to create a curated selection of wonderful objects, selecting the finest of 17th century to 20th-century design for the gallery’s extensive clientele of collectors, museum curators and the curious. The collection comes in a range of materials, specifically antique ceramics including porcelain, pottery and tin-glazed earthenware, antique prints, particularly in sets and sailors’ woolworks, known as woolies, and sailors’ valentines. Earle Vandekar has also become well known for its selection of mid-century objects, in particular the largest selection of Piero Fornasetti ceramics anywhere in the world.
