Jean-François de Blanchetti set up his gallery in 1991 in the heart of what is the largest and arguably the most prestigious quartier of antique shops and galleries in the world - Le Carré Rive Gauche in Paris. From this immense emporium just a few meters from the Seine, Galerie Blanchetti trades in decorative arts of the 20th century, and more specifically in the years 1950-1970. The gallery has a constantly evolving collection of furniture, sofas and armchairs, lighting and ceramics, which are principally, but not exclusively, French, Italian and Scandinavian. The gallery’s approach is to not specialise in a limited number of designers, but to be driven by curiosity and share the joy of discoveries with its clients.
