Born from a passion for 18th-century antique furniture, objets d’art and all things beautiful, Maggie Charpentier launched her M. Charpentier Antiques gallery in the early 1980s. She took over Lord Rendelsham's King’s Road premises in London, from where she successfully traded for over 30 years. Ahead of the trend she then moved the business to the up and coming Lillie Road. Here, her two daughters joined her, making it a ‘family affair'. Their frequent buying trips to France were filled with laughter and the joy of discovering beautiful, quirky, unique items. In 2012, Camilla and Alix took over the business and have seen it grow from strength to strength over the last decade. Evolving from Maggie's more ‘purist' sensibilities, the sisters mix art, objects an furniture from the 17th century to the 1970s.
