Eero Saarinen
Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen (1910-61) was famed for boosting the popularity of modernism in the US. The son of illustrious Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen, Eero was behind a number of notable monuments and building projects, such as the Gateway Arch in St Louise and the TWA Flight Centre at JFK International Airport in New York City. He was also renowned for his furniture designs, which included the Tulip chair and the Womb chair.
