Gunnell, the result of their philosophy of thinking about design and architecture as a work of art. Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 in Ancona, Italy by architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell, the result of their philosophy of thinking about design and architecture as a work of art. The architectural and interior design activities of the Barberini & Gunnell studio complements the creations of their atelier – they are an artistic playground of highly skilled craftsmanship, where artworks and sculptures come to life.

While the studio designs refined, timeless residential and retail spaces that incorporate collectible ‘talking pieces’, the atelier creates artworks, collectible design, one-off pieces, and limited editions for a small niche of high-end projects – bespoke solutions for luxury and ultra-luxury projects all over the world.
