ORNAMENTA is a fascinating expansion of Dirk Lemmens Antiques, a venture driven by Dirk Lemmens' life-long love for antiques and an adventurous spirit. After completing his science studies, Dirk's passion for antiques led him to transition from an antiques restorer to a thriving antiques dealer. Interestingly, Dirk's childhood dream of becoming an archaeologist was not far off from his eventual path.

In 1982, Dirk and his wife embarked on a journey to England, seeking business opportunities. It was a different time, with few motorways and a lengthy drive to Herefordshire from Calais via ferry. However, the English countryside, charming villages, quaint hotels, and warm locals captured their hearts. This laid the foundation for their specialization in 18th-century English furniture and 19th-century decorative items.
